Developing on from my experiments with wet paper, I have been using different types of painting mediums. The image bellows shows four tests I have done using acyclic paint flow improver, liquin, glazing medium and linseed oil. I would like to do this with cooking oils, such as olive oil or vegetable oil, as I think they will stay permanently wet. This idea of permeant wetness/ things never setting is very much inspired by Karla Black. It will be interesting to see if the paper becomes hard when it sets.

Using paint mediums led me to use actual paint. I used a technique of trapping the paint between two pieces of paper and putting a weight on top till it dried. I used acrylic children’s paint
